induce any person to enter upon the land of another
and cnt down without the permission of the owner
of said land, or cut down upon the lands of another,
with intent to appropriate to his or her own use any
timber or tree of a size not less than those commonly
used for hoop poles, in Garrett county, said person
so offending, his or her aiders and abettors, shall be
adjudged guilty of felony, and shall be sentenced as
for feloniously stealing goods or chattels to the value
of the tree or trees which shall be cnt down as
aforesaid.

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction and con-

sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the

|
|
|
bequest of one hundred dollars contained in the
|
|
|
|
last will and testament of John Wintermeier, late
|
|
|
|
of Allegany county, Maryland, deceased, to the
|
|
|
|
St. Peter and Paul's Church, at Cumberland, in
|
|
|
|
Allegany county, State of Maryland.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1 Be it enacted ty the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the sanction and consent of
|
|
|
|
the General Assembly of Maryland be and the same
|
|
|
|
is hereby given and declared to the bequest of one
|
|
|

hundred dollars, contained in the last will and testa-

consent given

ment of John Wintermeier, late of Allegany county,
deceased, to the St. Peter and Paul's Church at
|
|
|
|
Cumberland, Allegany county, State of Maryland,

the Orphans' Court of said Allegany county.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

|
|
effect from the date of its passage.
