ises, he shall be sentenced to the fine or penalty pre-

scribed by such act of assembly or ordinance, and to
|
|
|
|
the costs of his prosecution, and in default of pay-
|
|
|
|
ment thereof he shall be committed to jail until
|
|
|
|
thence discharged by due course of law ; any indict-
ment for the violation of any ordinance of any in-
|
|
|
|
corporated city or town of this State may conclude
|
|
|
|
"against the form of the ordinance in such case
|
|
|
|
made and provided, and against the peace, govern-
|
|
|
|
ment and dignity of the State."
|

|

SEC. 2. And le it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
|
effect from and after the date of its passage.
|
|
|

CHAPTER 212,
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to amend the act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
sixty, chapter nineteen, entitled "An act to incor-
|
|
|
|
porate the Egenton' Asylum of Baltimore."
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the third section of the act
of eighteen hundred and sixty, chapter nineteen, in-
|
|
|
|
corporating the Egenton Asylum of Baltimore, is
|
|
|
|
hereby amended so as to read as follows : That the
|
|
|

management of said corporation shall be vested in
|
|
|
corporation.

thirteen managers, twelve of whom shall be annu-
|
|
|
|
ally chosen by and from among the said adult male
|
|
|
|
members of the said First Presbyterian Church, and
|
|
|
|
the pastor, for the time being, of said church, shall be,
|
|
|
|
ex officio, a manager; the board of managers shall,
|
|
|
|
out of their own body, elect a president, secretary
|
|
|
|
and treasurer.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
|
effect from the date of its passage.
