shall issue certificates only to the persons receiving

the highest n timber of votes, and if there be less than
|
|
|
|
three elected, shall immediately certify to the said
|
|
|
|
persons so elected the fact of there being such a tie,
|
|
|
|
and the said commissioners shall, at their first meet-
|
|
|
|
ing as a board, designate one of the said persons so
|
|
|
|
voted for who has received a tie vote to be commis-
|
|
|
|
sioner, and the said commissioner shall hold his office
|
|
|
|
for the same time as he would had he received the
|
|
|
|
highest number of votes.

|
|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all future elec-
|
|
|
|
tions shall be held and conducted as shall be, from

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That each commis-

sioner, before he acts as such, shall make oath be-
|
|

fore a justice of the peace in and for Worcester
|
|
|
|
county, that he will diligently and faithfully, to the
|
|
|
|
best of his skill and judgment, perform the duties
|

tiality or prejudice, and a certificate of such qualifi-

cation shall be made by the said justice of the peace

and shall be filed and recorded among the records

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the said com-
|

|
|
missioners shall meet once in each month, except
|
|
|
|
during the months of June, July and August, when
|
|
|
|
they shall meet twice in each month, and more of-
|
|
|

ten if they think proper, and a majority shall con-

SEC. 10. And be it enacted That the said commis-
