136. And the said sheriff shall be entitled to re-

ceive from the said county commissioners, to be

a half a day for each day he shall attend the circuit

court for said county whilst in session, either in per-

son or by deputy, and such compensation for the

service of any bench warrant or attachment for con-

tempt issued by said court as said court may deem

reasonable; he shall also receive the sum of fifteen

|
|
dollars for carrying and conveying each person under
sentence to the State Penitentiary or House of Cor-
|
|
|
|
rection, or to or from the jails of any of the counties
|
|
|
|
of this State, and the jails or station houses of the
|
|
|
|
city of Baltimore, or to or from any other place of
|
|
|
|
confinement finder the sentence or final order of any
|
|
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
