CHAPTER 144.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to require the County Commissioners of
|
|
|
|
Prince George's county, to pay annually to the
|
|
|
|
Commissioners of the town of Laurel, the amount
|
|
|
|
of the road tax levied or taxed upon property
|
|
|
|
within the limits of said corporation.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That it shall be the duty of the
|
|
|
|
County Commissioners of Prince George's county,
|
|
|

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 145.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the
|
|
|
|
relief of Benjamin Boon who, whilst in the dis-
|
|
|
|
charge of his duty as fireman on board of the
|
|
|
|
steamer Leila, was seriously scalded.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Benjamin Boon, a fireman on the steam-
|
|
|
|
er Leila of the Oyster Police Force, whilst in the
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
discharge of his duty was, by an explosion of the
|
|
|
|
boiler of said steamer, seriously and permanently
|
|
|
|
injured; therefore,
|
|
|
|
