CHAPTER 120.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section one of the


act of eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, chap-


ter two hundred and ten, entitled " An act for the


protection of partridges, pheasants, rabbits, wood-


cock and rail-bird, and to prevent trespassing


with dog or gun on private property in Cecil and


Harford counties."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That section one of the act of


eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, chapter two


hundred and ten, entitled " An act for the protection

bird, and to prevent trespassing with dog or gun


on private property in Cecil and Harford counties,"


be and the same is hereby repealed and re enacted


so as to read as follows:


1. That it shall not be lawful to shoot, trap, kill


or in any manner destroy or expose for sale any part-
ridges or rabbits in Cecil county between the twenty-


sixth day of December and the first day of Novem-


ber; and in Harford county between the twenty-sixth
day of December and the fifteenth day of October;


nor any woodcock between the first day of January

and the tenth day of June, nor any rail-bird or pheas-

ants between the first day of January and the tenth


day of September in each and every year, in either


of said counties; and the possession of any of the


birds or game mentioned in this section, during the


prohibited periods, shall be deemed prima facie evi-


dence against such person of a violation of this act,


except when it may appear that such birds or game


are for breeding purposes.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take


effect from the date of its passage.
