pointment made by him and held by any person or


persons under the said corporation of Baltimore city,


who may be disqualified by the terms of this act,


and it shall be the duty of the said May or. of said


city, upon complaint being made in writing to him


and signed by the party making it, to immediately


investigate the cause or causes, so complained of,
fairly and fully, and pending said investigation the
Comptroller of said city is hereby prohibited from


drawing his warrant to pay to the person or persons


so complained of, any moneys that may be due him


or them for services rendered, after such complaint,


as salary or emoluments attached to the office he or


they may hold under the said corporation of Balti-


more city.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take


effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 102.


AN ACT to give the sanction of the General As-


sembly of Maryland to a deed from Edward Kim-


berly and Catharine Y. Kimberly, his wife, and


William H. Kimberly and Ann Kimberly, his


wife, to the First German United Evangelical


Church of the city of Baltimore.


WHEREAS Edward Kimberly and Catharine Y.


Kimberly, his wife, and William H. Kimberly and


Ann Kimberly, his wife, did, in consideration of


three thousand dollars, and for the purposes of a

Preamble.

burying ground, convey by deed, dated the fifth day
of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-


seven, and recorded in Liber J. B., number ninety-


nine, folio four hundred and fifty-four, one of the


Land Records of the Circuit Court of Baltimore


county, to the First German United Evangelical
