	CHAPTER 101.
	AN ACT to repeal section twenty-six of article four
	of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " City of
	Baltimore," and to re-enact the same with amend-
	ments.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-	Repealed and
	bly of Maryland, That section twenty-six of article	re-enacted
	four of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City
	of Baltimore," be repealed and re-enacted so as to
	read as follows :
	SECTION 26. All persons holding office under the	Hold office
	corporation of the city of Baltimore shall, unless	dm ing plea-
	otherwise provided by law or ordinance, hold their	sure of May-
	respective offices during the pleasure of the Mayor; but no person holding office by appointment of the said Mayor, who, as officers or employees of said cor-	or
	poration may be defaulters to said corporation of Baltimore city, or who are not citizens of the United
	States of America, and of the State of Maryland,
	or who are not registered voters in said city of Bal-
	timore, except females, shall hold any office of emolu-
	ment, trust, or profit, under the corporation of
	said Baltimore city. And it shall be the duty of
	the Mayor of said city, upon complaint being made to him in writing and signed by the party making
	it, involving any one of the above enumerated causes
	and sustained by competent proof, to immediately	Revoke.
