	CHAPTEE 97.
	AN ACT to repeal and to re-enact section fifty-five
	of article fifteen of the Code of Public General
	Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery county,"
	sub-title " Rockville," as enacted by chapter one
	hundred and seventy of the acts of eighteen hun-
	dred and seventy.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That section fifty-five of article
	fifteen of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
	land, entitled "Montgomery county," sub-title "Rockville," as enacted by chapter one hundred and	Sub-sections added.

	ty, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the fol-
	lowing section and sub-sections be and they are here-
	by enacted in lieu thereof.
	SECTION 55. The County Commissioners for Mont-
	gomery county shall, at their first meeting in the
	month of May next, appoint three judges of elec-
	tion for the town of Rockville, who shall be sub-
	stantial citizens and residents in the corporate limits
	of said town for at least three years next preceding	Elect three
