for the purpose of electing directors, or the failure


to elect directors during any one or more years,


shall not be held or taken to make a forfeiture or to


constitute an abandonment of this act of incorpora-


tion, but the directors chosen at any time shall con-


tinue to hold and exercise the office until such time


as a new election shall be made according to the pro-


visions of this act, and at all meetings of the presi-


dent and directors five or more directors shall be


present and constitute a quorum for the transaction


of the business of the said company.

WHEREAS Phoebe Thomas, late of Frederick county,


deceased, by her last will and testament, dated on


the twentieth day of June, in the year eighteen hun-


dred and seventy-six, and duly admitted to probate


and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills

Preamble.

of Frederick county, did give and bequeath unto


St Paul's Church, near the Point of Rocks, in Fred-


erick county, the sum of five hundred dollars.


SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That the assent of the General
