AN ACT to relieve the disabilities of J. Hooper
|
|
|
|
Shepherd, a minor.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That J. Hooper Shepherd, an in-
fant resident of this State, be and he is hereby au-
|

thorized and empowered to settle with the surviving
administrator of Caleb Shepherd, deceased, and the
|
and empow-
ered to settle.
|
|
|
administrator of E. Priscilla Shepherd, deceased, all
|
|
|
|
of this State, for whatever share of the personal estate
|
|
|
|
of said decedents may of right belong to him, and
|
|
|
|
to execute a receipt or receipts for the same, and the
|
|
|
|
said administrators are hereby authorized to pay
|
|
|
|
over and deliver to him whatever moneys or other
|
|
|
|
personal property may be now or shall hereafter be-
|
|
|
|
come legally due him from said personal estates, and
|
|
|
|
take his receipt or receipts therefor, which shall have
|
|
|
|
the same effect as if the same were executed by a
|
|
|
|
person of full age.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said J. Hooper
|
|
|
|
Shepherd shall have the immediate right to take
|
|
|
|
charge of his own real estate, and to contract, and

shall be answerable in law and equity for all lia-

bilities, debts and contracts entered into by him,

and may sue and be sued as if he were a man of

full age.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
