1740 ST. MARY'S COUNTY. - [ART. 19.

CROWS.

1864, ch. 350. 1876, ch. 12. 1878, ch. 301. 1880, ch. 180. 1884, ch. 25.

34. Article 28 of the code of public general laws, entitled
"Crows," shall not relate or apply to St. Mary's, Queen Anne's,
Montgomery, Calvert, Harford, Charles, Carroll, Caroline, Fred-
erick, Garrett, Prince George's, Talbot, Allegany, Baltimore and
Dorchester counties.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

1880, ch. 129.

35. The provisions of sections 241 to 245 of article 4 of the

public local laws, title " City of Baltimore." relating to " Cruelty
to Animals," shall apply to St. Mary's county as fully as if
repeated in this article.

DOGS.

1876, ch. 97.

36. St. Mary's, Queen Anne's, Montgomery, Dorchester, Alle-
gany, Somerset, Calvert, "Washington, Caroline, Carroll, Prince
George's, Wicomico, Worcester, Kent, Garrett and Cecil coun-
ties, and Baltimore city, and all cities, towns or boroughs in which

dogs are taxed by municipal ordinance, are exempted from the

operation of sections 157-162 of article 81 of the code of public
general laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," providing for the tax-
ation of dogs in this State.

ELECTION DISTRICTS.

37. St. Mary's county is divided into nine election districts,
according to their present names, bounds and limits, and all elec-
tions for public officers shall be held, in each of said districts, at

the place now established for that purpose.

38. Whenever any of the farmers and planters of St. Mary's

county shall purchase for the purpose of manuring their farms in
