146. Any constable of said county, of the sheriff thereof, who-
shall refuse to arrest any person violating section 144, upon infor-
mation of such offence, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and on conviction thereof before the circuit court, shall be fined
not less than twenty nor more than fifty dollars, and shall
forthwith be discharged from office.
ELECTIONS—PRIMARY.

147. Every primary election hereafter to be held by the
democratic party in Queen Anne's county, for delegates to county
conventions of said party of said county, for the nomination of
candidates, or other purposes, shall be held under the terms and
eubject to the provisions of this sub-title of this article.

148. The State central committee of the democratic party for
said county shall call all said primary elections, and its order
therefor shall contain the call for the primary election then to
be held, its purpose, the day when and the hours of the day
when it is to be held, the places where to be held, the qualifica-
tions of the persons who may vote thereat, and that said election
is to be held under and subject to the provisions of this sub-title
of this article; and such order shall be published at least once in
each of three successive weeks before the holding of each of such
elections, in one or more newspapers published in said county.

149. All said primary elections shall be by districts, and at
the usual polling places in each of the districts of said county,
and held on Saturday; and if such elections shall be for delegates
to a nominating convention for candidates for county offices, the
polls shall be opened for the reception of votes from nine o'clock
A. M. to six o'clock P. M., and no longer; and if such election shall
be for delegates for other purposes, the polls shall be opened for
the reception of votes from twelve o'clock M. to six o'clock P. M.,
and no longer.
