1534 MONTGOMERY COUNTY. [ART. 16.

line to the northwest corner of the old dwelling-house on the
farm belonging to the trustees of the Rockville academy, com-
monly known as the West farm; thence by a straight line to the
gate on the lane leading to the dwelling-house on the farm of
Hon. John T. Vinson; thence with the south side of the lane

commonly known as Martin's lane, to the Frederick road; thence
by a straight line to a culvert on the Metropolitan Branch of the
Baltimore and Ohio railroad on the lands of the Misses England;

thence by a straight line to the northeast corner of the lands of
William Beading, on the lane commonly known as Homer's lane;
thence down and with the west side of Horner's lane to the Balti-
more road; thence down and with the north side of the Balti-
more road to a point immediately opposite to the northwest

corner of the intersection of said Baltimore road with First street

on Dr. C. J. Maddox's land; thence to said northwest corner of
First street and Baltimore road; thence southerly with the
western side of said First street to the city or Vier's mills road;
thence by a straight line to the northeast corner of said fair
grounds; thence down and with the dividing line between said
fair grounds and the lands belonging to the heirs of the Lawrence
A. Dawson to the beginning; and the mayor and council of
Rockville, hereafter to be elected, shall cause the same to be sur-
veyed, and the boundaries thereof to be established, and a plat
and certificate of said survey to be made showing the streets,
alleys and lots of said town; and have a copy thereof recorded in
the office of the clerk of the circuit court for Montgomery

county among the land records of said county.

180. The citizens of said town having the qualifications pre-
scribed for voters by the laws of this State, and having resided
in said town for twelve months previous to any election, shall, on
the first Monday in May, 1888, and every two years thereafter on
the same day, at such place as shall be designated by the council,
between the hours of twelve o'clock at noon and six-thirty o'clock
in the evening, elect one person, at least thirty years of age,
mayor of said town, and four persons, not less than twenty-five
years of age, who, together with the mayor, shall constitute the
council; all of whom shall have resided in said town at least three
