purchase ; but no physician shall make or sign such prescription
unless the person for whom it is made is actually sick, or unless
liquor is required by such person as a medicine, but a pharmacist
or druggist may give or sell liquors to be used by a sick person
in a case of extreme illness, or sudden injury, when delay might
be dangerous to such sick or injured person, and may give or sell
wine to be used for sacramental purposes only.

208. Any pharmacist, druggist or physician who shall violate
the provisions of the preceding section shall, upon indictment
and conviction thereof, be fined not less than fifty dollars, nor
more than five hundred dollars, and failing to pay said fine and
costs of prosecution forthwith, shall be sentenced to be confined
in the county jail for not less than thirty days nor more than six
months.

209. The provisions of sections 188-214 of this sub-title of
this article shall not apply to sales by the manufacturers of cider
in quantities not less than a gallon, which shall not be drunk on
the premises of the manufacturer, nor to sales of spirituous or
fermented liquors by the manufacturer thereof to any person
licensed to sell spirituous or fermented liquors in said city.

210. Whenever any license shall be suppressed for any
violation of this sub-title of this article, it shall not be lawful for
the clerk of the circuit court for Harford county to grant a
license to any other person to sell spirituous or fermented liquor
upon the premises covered by the license suppressed, for the term
of one year from the date of such suppression.

211. All licenses issued under sections 188-214: of this sub-
title of this article shall expire on the first day of May, annu-
ally, but licenses may be issued for a shorter period than one
year upon the payment of a proportionate part of the license
fee hereinbefore provided for; and licenses issued under said
sections of this sub-title of this article shall be transferable as
