of original manufacture or of a mixed character,
within the above described limits, shall on convic-
tion be subject to all the fines and penalties pre-
scribed by the public general laws for selling
spirituous or fermented liquors without license.

SCHOOLS.

1862, c. 189 provides that the trustees of primary school district number seventy-
two, in Frederick county, may insure the school house in said district, and the fur-
niture thereof, against loss and damage by fire, in the Mutual Insurance Company
of Frederick county, and pay the cost and charges therefor out of the primary
school fund of said district. See the act of 1865, c. 160, Public General Laws, Public
Instruction, by which all laws inconsistent therewith are repealed.

SHERIFF.

1865, c. 74 repeals s. 310 and enacts the following substitute therefor:

310. The sheriff of Frederick shall be entitled to
fifty cents per day for boarding each prisoner com-
mitted to the county jail.

In force from March 21, 1865.

WOLFSVILLE.
1866, c. 104 enacts the following:

Pay.

311. The clerk of the circuit court of Frederick
county shall not grant a license to any person to sell
spirituous or fermented liquors of any kind at any
place within three miles of either of the churches in
the village of Wolfsville, Frederick county, and any
person selling any spirituous or fermented liquors or
any other kind of intoxicating drinks, whether of
original manufacture or of a mixed character, within
the above described limits, shall, on conviction, be
