spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer, at Up-
per Hunting creek, or at any place nearer than two
miles in every direction, unless for medicinal pur-
pose, and upon the prescription of a respectable phy-
sician. For every violation of the above, the person penalty
or persons convicted of the same shall, for each and
every offence, pay not less than twenty dollars nor
more than fifty dollars, one-half to the informer and
the other half to the state.
