To erect toll
house and col-
lect toll, &c.

52. The said mayor and councilmen are hereby
authorized if in their discretion the same may be
deemed advisable to erect a toll bouse near said
bridge and to establish and collect such reasonable
rates of toll for crossing over the same as may be
necessary to keep said bridge and road in good re-
pair and may establish such rules and regulations
in regard to the proper protection and repair of said
bridge or road, and the collection of tolls thereon as
they may deem advisable.

53. The county commissioners of Allegany county,
are hereby authorized and directed to levy and col-
lect on the taxable property of Allegany county,
such sum of money as they or a majority thereof
may deem expedient in aid of the building of said
bridge or road, or either of them.

DEER.

1866, c. 67 repeals and re-enacts section 57 as follows :

"When deer
may be killed,
&c.

57. It shall not be lawful for any person or per-
sons to kill or destroy, or try to kill or destroy any
wild deer in Allegany county, except in the months
of August, September, October, November and De-
cember, and it shall not be lawful for any person or
persons during these months to catch or try to catch
or destroy any wild deer by running or chasing them
by dog or dogs, except in cases of wounded deer,
and for each and every violation of this section, the

offender shall, on conviction, pay a fine of not less
than fifteen dollars.
