November, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, among the land records for
said county, be, and the same is hereby made and declared to be as
valid and as legal as if the same had been executed and approved at
the regular fall term of said court.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said bond shall afford as ample
protection to said clerk, in the emoluments, immunities, tenure and term
of office, and to him and to all others, in all other respects, as if it had
been executed and approved within the time prescribed by law.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.
LOUISA DELACAVE MARCHAND.
AN ACT to make valid the acknowledgment of a Deed of Leasehold Ground in Bal-
timore city from Louis Barie to Louisa Delacave Marchand, and to admit the
same to record.
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the Genera!, Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed from Lonis Barie to Louisa Delacave Marchand of cer-
tain leasehold pieces of ground in Baltimore city bearing date the
twenty-second day of September, in the year eighteen hundred and
thirty-six, and acknowledged in the county of the grantor's residence,
in Georgia, before Joseph Felt and Henry J. Valicau, two Justices of
the Peace of Chatham county, in that State, whose official capacity is
certified by the deputy clerk of the Superior Court for said county,
under seal of said court, be and the same is hereby declared to have
the same validity and effect as if the same had been duly acknowledged
according to the Laws of Maryland and had been then duly recorded;
provided, said deed be recorded within six months from the passage of
this act, among the Baltimore city Land Records, and that nothing
herein contained shall prejudice the rights of any subsequent pur-
chasers, or any creditors of or under said grantor.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
passage thereof.
METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, KENT COUNTY.
AN ACT to appoint and authorize certain persons, in Kent county, to purchase real
estate in Kent county, from Samuel E. Baker, of said county, to be held in trust
for the Methodist Episcopal Church on Kent Circuit, for the purpose of holding
Camp Meetings or other Meetings on the same, Sunday School Festivals, &c.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That James H. Edes, John N. Usilton, Thomas Baker, George H.
Leverton, James Gale, Josiah Massey, and Joseph A. Harper, be and
they are hereby constituted a body politic, by the name of the Trustees
of Camp Meetings, and other purposes of the Methodist Episcopal
