WILLIAM H. CRAWFORD.

AN ACT for the relief of the securities of William H: Crawford, Collector of the State
Taxes in the Second Collection District of Howard District, for the years eighteen
hundred and forty-five and eighteen hundred and forty-six.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Comptroller, in adjusting the account's of William H. Craw-
ford, Collector of State Taxes in the Second Election District of How-
ard District, for the years eighteen hundred and forty-five and eighteen
hundred and forty-six, be and he is hereby authorized and required to
receive the receipts of the State's Attorney for Howard District of
Anne Arundel county, to James Treackle, and other sureties of said
William H. Crawford, Collector as aforesaid, as so much money paid
the State on account of said Collector.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

SAMUEL L. DUHAMEL.

AN ACT to release from the payment of interest, the sureties on the official bond of
Samuel L. Duhamel, Collector of taxes for the first Election District, of Queen,
Anne's county, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-seven.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sureties on the official bond of Samuel L. Duhamel, Collector
of State taxes for the first Election District of Queen Anne's county,
for the year eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, be and they arc hereby
released from the payment of interest on Said taxes; provided, that on
the first day of June, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, the sureties pay
into the Treasury, the amount of the principal sum of said State taxes,
as ascertained by the Comptroller of the Treasury to be due the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from its
passage.

SAMUEL L. DUHAMEL.

AN ACT to allow Samuel L. Duhamel, Collector of taxes for the First Election Dis-
trict of Queen Anne's county, in the year eighteen, hundred and fifty-seven, fur-
ther time to complete his collections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Samuel L. Duhamel, late a collector of the State and county
taxes for the First Election District of Queen Anne's county, be and
he is hereby authorized and empowered, for twelve months from the
passage of this act, to complete his collections as collector of State and
county taxes in the Election District before named, with the same and
