74 COLLECTORS, SHERIFFS, SECURITIES, &c.

CHARLES BEALL.

AN ACT to authorize Charles Beall of Prince George's county, to act in the double
capacity of Magistrate and Postmaster.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Charles Beall, of Prince George's county, be authorized to act in
the double capacity of Magistrate and Postmaster.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
day of its passage.

ROBERT BELL.

AN ACT to allow Robert Bell, late Sheriff and Collector of State and county taxes
lor Dorchester county, further time to complete his collections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Robert Bell, late Sheriff and Collector of State and county taxes
for Dorchester county, be and he is hereby allowed until the first day
of March, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-three to complete his
collections of taxes and fees; provided, that the said Robert Bell be-
fore proceeding to enforce payment of taxes or fees which may appear
by his books to be due, shall make affidavit to each account for taxes
or fees which he. may present, stating that the same has not been previ-
ously paid to him.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

ROBERT CLARK.

AN ACT for the relief of Robert Clark one of the sureties on the official bonds of
Thomas C. Lyles and William Lyles (of Thomas) former collectors of Prince
George's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Robert Clark, one of the sureties on the official bonds of Thomas
C. Lyles and William Lyles (of Thomas) as collectors of taxes in Prince
George's county, be and he is hereby released from all further responsi-
bility to the State on account of said bonds, provided however, that
the principal and other sureties on said bonds and their property shall
in no manner be released therefrom.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the
day of its passage.
