An Act to amend the Constitution and form of Government of this State, limiting the future sessions of the General Assembly. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all future Sessions of the General Assembly of this State, shall close on the tenth day of March, in each and every year, unless the same shall be closed at an earlier day, by the agreement of the two houses. SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be confirmed by the General Assembly, at its first session after the next election of delegates to the General Assembly, then this act and the amendment to the constitution therein contained, shall constitute and be valid, as a part of said constitution and form of government, to all intents and purposes, any thing therein contained to the contrary notwithstanding; and provided, this act shall be published at least three months before such new election. |
