than 400 yards in length; nor shall it be lawful in the waters of Fishing
Bay south of the said line from Roasting Ear Point to Duck Island Point
to set any weir beyond a depth of 18 feet in said waters.

(e) It shall not be lawful for any person to place any pound net, weir,
or hedge in the northwest branch of the Nanticoke River, from Walnut
Landing to the place known as Chimney Landing, on the west branch of
said stream, at a distance less than one-third of a mile apart.

(f) It shall be unlawful to fish in the following waters except by hook
and line, eel pots or gill net with not less than a three-inch mesh: (1)
the waters of Cabin Creek above a line drawn from the residence of
Joseph Era in a northeasterly direction to the residence on the opposite
side on what is known as the Travers farm; (2) the waters of Warwick
River above a line drawn from the east end of a sand bar extending from
the Hughlett farm in a northerly direction across said river to the nearest
point of marsh on Warwick Manor, and (3) the waters of Goose Creek
and Indian Creek.

39. (Garrett County.) It shall be unlawful for any person to take or
catch fish from or in Savage River or the Little Savage River and its
tributaries, in Garrett County, Maryland, except during the trout season,
April 1st to June 30th, each year. Any person violating the provisions
of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon con-
viction, fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than fifty dollars
($50.00).

40. (Harford County.) (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish
with hauling seine or staked nets in the waters of Swan Creek from the
15th day of July to the 20th day of September, both dates inclusive in
every year, and in the waters of the Gunpowder River lying in Harford
County from the 15th day of May to the 15th day of September, both
dates inclusive in each year.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish with hauling seine in the
waters of Bush River or any of its tributaries in Harford County at all
times.

(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish pound nets in any part
of the Gunpowder and Bush Rivers lying in Harford County a distance
of over 250 yards from the shore line at mean low water tide.

(d) It shall be unlawful to use any pound net or staked net in the
waters of the Susquehanna River.

41. (Kent County.) Pound nets may be set in the waters of Sassafras
River and its tributaries lying in Kent County from Luke's Point to the
head of said river from the 1st day of August to the 31st day of May next
ensuing, both dates inclusive; provided such pound net be not placed so
as to obstruct the haul of any seine upon any established fishing shore on
said waters, unless so placed by the owners of such fishing shore.

42. (Queen Anne's County.) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish
with any kind of nets in the waters of Chester River and its tributaries,
