4082 ARTICLE 17.

of said town or county, to be ascertained by two appraisers disinterested,
residing therein, and pay for every swine twenty-five cents for every day
it shall have been impounded, the person impounding may sell or kill the
same for his own benefit.

945. If any person shall be sued for killing or selling any swine under
the preceding section he may plead the general issue and give the special
matter in evidence.

946. No person in the town of Nottingham, in Prince George's county
shall confine in any pen, sty or outhouse or other inclosure any hog except
from the twentieth of October to the first of March in each and every year,
under the penalty of forty dollars for each and every offense to be recov-
ered before a justice of the peace as small debts are, one-half to the in-
former and the other half to the county.

947. The inhabitants of that district of country situated partly in
Montgomery County and partly in Prince George's County, in the State
of Maryland, embraced within the limits prescribed in the next succeeding
section, shall be, and continue to be, a body politic and corporate by the
name and style of the "Town of Takoma Park," and by that name shall
have perpetual succession, sue and be sued, and have and use a common
seal.

948. The limits of the said town shall be as follows : Beginning at the
intersection of the third line of the District of Columbia with the west line
of the right of way of the Metropolitan Branch of the Baltimore & Ohio
Railroad, and running with west line of said right of way to the point of
intersection with the extension of a line drawn along the center of Chi-
cago Avenue from Boston Avenue to New York Avenue; thence with said
line extended across said right of way of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad
with the center line of said Chicago Avenue to a point opposite the divid-
ing line between lots numbered Seven (7) and Eight (8) in Block num-
bered Sixty-seven (67) of the Takoma Park Loan and Trust Company's
subdivision of Takoma Park; thence with a continuation of the said divid-
ing line through said Block numbered Sixty-seven (67) to the intersec-
tion of said line with Takoma Avenue; thence across Takoma Avenue to
the northwest corner of lot numbered Nine (9) in Block numbered Sev-
enty-one (71) of the Takoma Park Loan and Trust Company's subdi-
