4062 ARTICLE 17.

visor for immorality, misconduct in office, insubordination, incompe-
tency, or wilful neglect of duty, upon making known to him, in writing,
the charges against him and upon giving him an opportunity of being
heard in person or by counsel in his own defense, upon not less than ten
days' notice. In case of vacancy due to any cause the said Board of
Education shall have authority to fill such vacancy until the expiration of
the term.

1924, ch. 588, sec. 2.

900. The Supervisor of school property, under the instructions of the
said Board of Education and under the direction of the County Superin-
tendent of Schools, shall devote his whole time to the supervision of the
construction, maintenance and operation of all school buildings, and of
the transportation of pupils at public expense, in accordance with the pro-
visions of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Public Education," as enacted by Chapter 506 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916, and subsequent
amendments thereof.

1924, ch. 588, sec. 3.

901. The Supervisor of school property under the direction of the
County Superintendent of Schools shall have charge of the sanitary con-
ditions of all buildings and grounds, and shall frequently make inspection
of all school property, and shall take such necessary action to maintain
and keep the most sanitary and efficient condition possible about any and
all of said school property. That it shall be the duty of said Supervisor to
inspect frequently the heating, ventilating and lighting conditions in
schools and other buildings and to require in all things the beat possible
accommodations for the comfort, convenience and health of the teachers
and children.

902. The Supervisor of school property shall frequently inspect the
privies, cesspools, sinks, and plumbing on the school properties and cause
same to be operated and maintained in a sanitary manner. That said
Supervisor shall from time to time cause an inspection of the water sup-
ply of each and every school and have the same analyzed to insure clean,
healthy drinking water at said schools.

903. The Supervisor of school property shall keep a record of all school
property in said county and enter the location, character, size and condi-
tion of said school property in a book to be kept for that purpose, and he
shall personally inspect and record and report from time to time the con-
dition of same to the said Board of Education with his recommendations
as to the needs of said property or the disposition of same, and in all
matters and things in relation thereto, it shall be the duty of said Super-
visor to improve and maintain the school property of the county, so that
it may be preserved and utilized for the purpose intended, and not be
