PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY. 3821

the Board of County Road Directors for said county for the year preceding
the last Monday in March and report the same together with a full state-
ment of the financial condition of the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County to said Commissioners, and the said report shall be
published in the newspaper having the county printing and be embraced
in the annual contract for such printing. The said Transfer Clerk and
Auditor shall also perform such other and further duties as the County
Commissioners of Prince George's County may impose upon him.

Before entering upon the duties of his office said Transfer Clerk and
Auditor shall take oath before any of said County Commissioners that he
will diligently, without partiality or prejudice, discharge the duties of his
office, and he shall be entitled to a salary of twelve hundred dollars a year
which salary shall be in full for any and all services rendered by said
Transfer Clerk and Auditor.

319. Said Transfer Clerk and Auditor shall be subject to removal at
any time by said County Commissioners after a public hearing upon
notice of written charges preferred against him.

1924, ch. 505

320. Before any deed for the conveyance of real estate in Prince
George's County shall be copied in the deed books provided for that pur-
pose by the Clerk of the Circuit Court thereof, the said deed shall be
submitted to the Transfer Clerk and Auditor appointed by the County
Commissioner of said county, who shall thereupon make transfer on the
county assessment books of the said property to the name of the new
owner or owners thereof, and as evidence of said transfer, shall stamp
upon the said deed his certificate thereof, and no deed shall be copied in
the deed books without said certificate.*

321. The county commissioners shall, on the last Monday in March
1902, or so soon thereafter as is practicable, appoint one person from each
of the three road districts of Prince George's county as assessor of real or
personal property located or being in said road districts whose duty it shall
be to hunt for and ascertain any and all property not heretofore assessed,
and value and assess the same, and make a proper return thereof to the
said county commissioners aforesaid, on or before the first Tuesday of
December in each and every year. And said assessors shall receive a fee
of $1.00 for each piece of property not on the assessment books, found and
reported by them, as aforesaid, and approved by said county commit
sioners but no piece of property of less value than one hundred dollars
shall be reported or assessed.

*Sec. 2 of ch. 505, 1924, repeals all laws Inconsistent therewith.
