shall not bid a sum greater approximately than the taxes in arrears on
said property and the interest and expenses of sale and costs and may
sell and convey or lease the same as in their judgment and discretion shall
be deemed best for the interest of the town.

1924, ch. 388, sec. 13.

80. No ordinance passed by the Town Commissioners shall go into
effect until after the expiration of thirty days after its passage, unless
otherwise provided by the laws of this State. If within thirty days
from the date of its passage, a petition protesting against it signed by one-
half as many voters as voted at the last general election shall be filed with
the Town Clerk such ordinance shall be suspended, and the Town Com-
missioners shall consider it, and if it be not repealed the Town Commis-
sioners shall submit it to a vote of the duly qualified voters of said town
at the next election, provided, however, that if the next election shall
occur more than ninety days thereafter, the Town Commissioners shall
call a special election for the purpose of deciding whether such proposed
ordinance shall or shall not become a law, and the same shall become
operative or repealed by a majority of the votes cast at this election.

BOUNDARIES.

1916, ch. 445, sec. 1.

81. T. B. Davis of St. Mary's County, E. A. T. McPherson of Charles
County and Llewellyn M. Naylor of Prince George's County are hereby
appointed Commissioners to re-establish, survey and mark the boundary
lines between Prince George's and Charles Counties.

1916, ch. 445, sec. 2.

82. The said Commissioners as soon after the passage of this Act as
practicable and not later than September 1st, 1916, shall proceed to the
performance of the duties imposed upon them by this Act.

1916, oh. 445, sec. 3.

83. The said Commissioners shall appoint a president and secretary
of their body and shall keep a record of their proceedings, and shall ap-
point a competent surveyor and other assistants to enable them to carry
out the purposes of this Act; and that the assistants needed by them in
making the survey and other purposes shall be selected by the said com-
missioners equally, as far as may be, from the Counties of Prince George's
and Charles.

1916, ch. 445, sec. 4.

84. In surveying and marking the said boundary between the said
Counties, they shall, as far at possible, conform to the old line herein-
before marked and laid out between the said counties, and for that purpose
may take the testimony of old residents, upon oath administered by the
President of the Commission, as to the course of the old line.
