tion, character, size, and condition of said school property in a book to
be kept for that purpose, and he shall personally inspect and record and
report the condition of same to the County Board of Education and the
County Commissioners with his recommendations as to the needs of said
property or the disposition of same, and in all matters and things in rela-
tion thereto, it shall be the duty of said supervisor to improve and main-
tain any and all school property of the county, so that it may be preserved
and utilized for the purposes intended, and not be permitted to deteriorate
or decay for lack of attention and care, and for this purpose the said super-
visor shall be required to frequently inspect and recommend and cause
to be made the repairs required.

875. The supervisor of school property shall have supervision of all
the janitors of the school buildings, and shall prescribe their duties in
relation to same, and may remove any janitor at any time for his neglect
or failure to properly attend the duties so assigned to him.

876. The supervisor of school property shall have such jurisdiction
over all things herein mentioned that the Board of Education or Treas-
urer thereof shall not approve or pay any bill for anything in relation
thereto unless said account, bill or statement shall have endorsed thereon
the approval for payment of the supervisor of school property.

877. The supervisor of school property shall from time to time advise
the County Board of Education and the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County of all the matters and things herein contained, and shall
aid, advise, and suggest the various needs required for the construction
and maintenance of all school properties, including the equipment thereof,
and he shall keep accurate itemized records of the expense of the con-
struction and maintenance of same, and yearly report to the County Board
of Education and the County Commissioners and explain whatever items
in the budget as may be required of him, so that the County Board of
Education and County Commissioners may be fully advised of the need
of each item of the budget as submitted by the Board of Education.

878. The salary of said supervisor shall be twenty-five hundred dol-
lars per annum, payable monthly by the Board of Education for Mont-
gomery County, and said Board of Education shall annually include in
the budget submitted by them to the County Commissioners the sum of
twenty-five hundred dollars for the salary of said supervisor of school
property, and the County Commissioners shall include in their annual
levy said sum of money to be paid out of the amount of money levied for
