month, the said Sheriff shall make and file with them, under oath, a full
and complete report of the names and descriptions of all persons confined
in said jail, with a statement of the length of time and offense for which
they are committed, and for any neglect of the Sheriff to comply with any
provision of this section, he shall be subject, upon indictment and con-
viction, to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars and not more than
five hundred dollars for each and every offense, and in default of pay-
ment of said fine he shall be confined in the county jail for a period not
exceeding one year.

452. It shall be the duty of said Sheriff to furnish all supplies and
provisions necessary, in his judgment, for the support and maintenance
of all persons committed to the jail of said county, for which said Sheriff
shall be allowed the sum of sixty cents per day for each prisoner confined
in said jail, said sum to be levied by said Board of County Commissioners,
of Harford County as hereinbefore provided and paid by said Board to
said Sheriff monthly.

453. All Sheriff's costs collected by Justices of the Peace in criminal
cases shall be accounted for to the County Commissioners in the same-
manner as fines collected by them in such cases are now accounted for.

454. The Sheriff of Harford. County shall promptly serve all process,
issued to him by the Justices of the Peace of said County, and shall be
entitled to charge and receive therefor such fees as are allowed constables
under the general fee bill provided by the Code of Public General Laws.

455. It shall be the duty of the sheriff to employ a competent physician
to attend the inmates of the county jail whenever in his judgment said
inmates, by reason of sickness or otherwise, may require such attention.

by the Circuit Court for Harford County, as provided in Section 83 of
this Article, shall also constitute a board of visitors for the county jail
of said county, and shall visit and examine quarterly the said jail in the
same manner as provided in said section; they shall visit and examine the
county almshouse, and they shall after each visit, in like manner, report
