the easterly margin of said road which said point is North 82 degrees
35 minutes East, 31 feet from a cement post standing on the westerly
margin of said road; thence

342. All persons of the age of twenty-one years and upwards, who have
resided within the corporate limits for six months next preceding any
election of officers for this corporation and who are qualified to vote for
members of the General Assembly of Maryland shall be entitled to vote
at such election. The elective officers of said town shall be a Mayor, Clerk,
Treasurer, Chief Bailiff and four Councilmen, all of whose terms shall
be for two years, two of said Councilmen to be elected annually. No per-
son shall be eligible to the office of Mayor or Councilman unless he is a
citizen of said town, is qualified to vote for members of the General As-
sembly of Maryland and has title to real estate within the corporate limits
of said town. In case any person having been elected Mayor or Council-
man shall cease to be a resident or freeholder in said town, he shall imme-
diately cease to hold or exercise said office, and it is hereby declared
vacant and shall be filled as hereinafter provided. The Mayor and Coun-
