784. They shall have power to make such contract with the Mechanics-
corporation, and to erect such fire-plugs, and keep the same in repair as P. L. L., 1888, Art. 11, sec. 333. 1918 Code, sec. 756.
785. They may pass ordinances to pave and keep in repair, grade and
consent of a majority of those interested; to prevent horses, wheelbarrows
of the village for paving the streets and lanes or alleys therein, whfch P. L. L., 1888, Art. 11, sec. 334. 1918, ch. 193, sec. 334. 1918 Code, sec. 757.
786. They shall have full power and authority to grade and pave all
each proprietor to be ascertained, and may recover the same by action
amount awarded or may distrain the personal property of such proprietor amount of his or her assessment prior to such suit or distress, and the
said corporation is hereby vested with full power to pass all ordinances P. L. L., 1888, Art. 11, sec. 335. 1918 Code, sec. 758. 787. They may have all ordinances passed by them published for two
