former and the other half to the corporate authorities for the use of the
water works, and in case of the non-payment of such fine and costs im-
posed by the burgess or justice of the peace, the said offender or offenders
shall be committed to the county jail for a period not less than five, nor
more than sixty days, or until such fine and costs are paid.

556. In addition to the remedy and punishments provided for in
Section 555 of this subtitle, that the Burgess and Commissioners of Mid-
dletown, Frederick County, Maryland, be authorized and empowered,
upon information or petitions filed in their corporate name in Frederick
County, to apply to any judge of the Circuit Court for Frederick County
in term time or vacation, for an injunction to restrain and prevent the
nuisances and evils intended to be prevented by this subtitle no matter
bv whom or under what authority committed.

557. The inhabitants of the Town of Mt. Airy, in Carroll and Fred-
erick Counties, are a corporation by the name of the Mayor and Council
of Mt. Airy, and by that name shall have perpetual succession, may sue
and be sued, may purchase and hold real, personal and mixed property,
and dispose of the same for the benefit of the said town, and may have
and use a common seal, which may be altered at pleasure.

558. The limits of said town shall be as follows: Beginning at a
point where the land purchased by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Com-
pany from Robert Sellman intersects the Watersville Road, thence with
said road West to the Westminster Road, thence with said road North to
the Northern line of the land purchased by the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company from Albert Jones, thence in a straight line to the
spring on the land of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, thence
in a straight line to the Northwest corner of the land of G-rafton Harrison,
thence following the line of the said Grafton Harrison to the Railroad bed,
thence in a straight line to the Northwest corner of the land of Clifton
Mullinix, thence in a straight line to the Parrsville Road, thence in a
straight line to the Southeast corner of the Camp Ground woods where it
intersects the land of Clarence Murray, thence in a straight line to the
place of beginning.
Ch. 449, 1918, authorized the town to issue $18,000 of bonds and ch. 171, 1920,
authorized the town to issue $22,000 of bonds for obtaining water supply and for
paving, and to levy taxes to pay interest on and to redeem said bonds. Ch. 93,
1929, authorized the town to issue $20,000 for extension of water system and for
paving and to levy taxes to pay interest on and to redeem same.
