CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

P. L. L., 1888, Art. 11, sec. 99. 1918 Code, sec. 156.

143. The provisions of Sections 241 to 245, of Article 4, of the Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," relating to "Cruelty to Animals,"
shall apply to Frederick County as fully as if repeated in this Article.

Secs. 241-245 of Art. 4, were repealed by ch. 496, 1902. Ch. 198, 1890, super-
seded said sections. See Annotated Code, Art. 27, secs. 69-70, and Falkenham v.
State, 73 Md. 465.

DISTURBANCE OE THE PUBLIC PEACE.

144. Frederick County is exempt and released from the operation and
force of Section 118, of Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Disturbance of the Public
Peace."

DOORKEEPER OF COURT HOUSE.

145. The keepers of the gates or doors within the bar of the court
house, and the person who warms the court room and has charge of the
fires in the circuit court, shall each be entitled to the sum of one dollar
and fifty cents per day, for his services; and upon a certificate from the
clerk of the circuit court, of the number of days that each of them attended,
the collector of taxes for said county shall pay the amount thereof in the
same manner that jurors are paid.
