CIRCUIT COURT.

P. L. L. 1888, Art. 10, ch. 101. 1860, Art. 10, sec. 74.

132. There shall be four terms of the Circuit Court for Dorchester
County in each year, commencing on the fourth Monday in each of the
months of January, April and July, and the second Monday of November.

133. Juries shall be summoned to the April and November terms.

134. The judges of the Circuit Court for Dorchester County shall
have power to pass all such rules as shall be necessary to facilitate the
transaction of business in said court; provided, however, that such rules
shall provide for the transaction of equity business; and the said court
shall be considered to be always open for equity business.

COURT STENOGEAPHER.

1908, ch. 437, sec. 1 (p. 747).

135. The judges of the first judicial circuit of this State are hereby
authorized and empowered to employ a competent stenographer to serve
in the respective courts of said circuit.

136. The salary of said stenographer shall be one thousand dollars
($1,000) per year, from the first day of May, nineteen hundred and eight;
the said salary to be paid as follows: The County Commissioners of Dor-
chester County, Wicomico County, Somerset County and Worcester Coun-
ty shall each pay the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars thereof. Said
payments to be made in quarterly instalments from the first day of May,
nineteen hundred and eight, during service, on the presentation of the
certificate of the clerk of either county or of either of said judges of said
court, to the County Commissioners certifying to the services of said court
stenographer. And the said County Commissioners of the several coun-
ties are hereby directed and empowered to provide for the payment of
their several portions of the salary of the said stenographer at once on
presentation of said certificate.

1908, ch. 437, sec. 3 (p. 748).

137. The stenographer appointed under this Act shall serve for one
year or until his successor shall be appointed by the judges aforesaid, but
shall be removable at any time at the pleasure of said judges. The
stenographer so to be appointed shall be an officer of the court and shall
perform such duties as may be imposed upon him by the judges of said
court or either of them, and shall be required to furnish type written or
printed copies to the attorneys of the court as the court may prescribe and
direct.
