own right own real or personal property situated in limits of said town
assessed at not less than five hundred dollars; said board shall be nomi-
nated at a public meeting to be held two weeks prior to the election in said
town, and no man who is not nominated at said meeting shall be eligible
for election as President or Town Commissioner. All male inhabitants of
said town who are citizens of the United States who shall reside in said
town for six months, and in the State of Maryland for twelve months next
preceding the election at which they shall offer to vote shall be entitled to
vote for said President and Commissioners.

87. On the first Monday in May in the year 1908, and on the same
date annually thereafter, the said voters shall elect a president of said
board, who shall serve for one year, or until his successor is duly elected
and qualified, and on the first Monday in May in the year 1908 aforesaid,
said voters shall elect four Commissioners for terms of office to be deter-
mined as follows: As soon as said Commissioners shall have been elected
and qualified they shall, by lot, divide themselves in classes, two of said
Commissioners to serve for two years from the date of their election and
two for one year from date thereof, or until their successors are duly
elected and qualified, and on the first Monday in May, 1908, and on that
date annually thereafter, said voters shall elect two commissioners to serve
for two years from the date of their election, or until their successors are
elected and qualified as aforesaid.

88. The Town Commissioners and all other officers of said town, before
they shall enter upon the duties of thedr respective offices, shall severally
take the following oath: "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully exe-
cute the office of .......... to the best of my knowledge and ability,
without fear, affection or partiality."

89. The President and Commissioners of said town shall, at some
meeting prior to the first Monday in May, appoint some person to act as
judge of said election, who, before acting as such, shall qualify in the
same manner- as judges of election for State and county offices in this
State are required to qualify, before a justice of the peace, and shall open
the polls at 1 o'clock P. M. on the first Monday in May in each year, and
close the same at 6.30 P. M. on said date, and the persons voted for Presi-
dent as aforesaid at said election who shall receive the highest number of
votes shall be President as aforesaid, and the persons in number, accord-
ing to this section, voted for at said election for Commissioners of said
town, who shall respectively receive the highest number of votes, shall be
Commissioners as aforesaid, and in case of a tie, the election for President
or Commissioners aforesaid, a, new election shall be held, after giving at
least five days' notice of the time for holding the same.
