1932 ARTICLE 8.

thing herein contained, he may plead the general issue and give the special
matter in evidence in his defense; and if verdict shall be given for the
defendant, or if the plaintiff be non-suited or discontinue, the defendant
shall recover treble costs; and if the plaintiff is unable to satisfy the
same, they shall be paid by the attorney who brought the suit, unless the
plaintiff shall give security for the costs, to be approved by the court.

33. The trustees of the poor in Cecil County, and their successors, shall
be entitled to the residue of all personal estate of persons dying intestate
in said county and having no legal representative, and the administrator
of the person so dying shall pay the same to them.

34. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are hereby authorized
and empowered to sell all or any part or parts of the almshouse and asy-
lum farm and properties, and to give a good and sufficient deed for said
farm or properties or any part or parts thereof so sold, to the purchaser
or purchasers thereof, the authority and power conferred by this section
to be exercised in the discretion of the said County Commissioners, or a
majority of them, if the said County Commissioners sell all or any part
or parts of said farm or properties the proceeds from said sale or sales
shall be paid over to the county treasurer of said county as a part of the
general funds of the county.

AMMUNITION.

35. From and after April 13, 1914, it shall not be lawful for any per-
son or persons, or for any corporation, whether the same be a licensed
dealer or otherwise, to sell, barter, exchange or give away any cartridge,
cartridges or ammunition of any sort, which may, or can be used in fire-
arms of any character, to any person, who is a minor or infant under
the age of fourteen years.

36. Any person or persons or corporations, whether the same be a
licensed dealer or not, violating the provisions of this subtitle shall on
conviction thereof, pay a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10), and not
more than one hundred dollars ($100), together with the cost of prose-
cution, and upon the failure to pay said fines and costs, shall be committed
to the county jail until said fine and costs are paid, but not to exceed a
period of sixty days.
