1734 ARTICLE 7.

1910, ch. 192, sec. 2 (p. 700).

52. The new Election District No. 14 hereby created shall be within
the following metes and bounds: Beginning at a point where the bridge
spanning the Patapsco Falls at Gaither's Station, on the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad, and running along the public road, leading therefrom to
the intersection of said road and the Sykesville Road at a point near the
Old Mount Pleasant Methodist Protestant Church, thence in a northern
direction in a straight line to the intersection of the Liberty Road with the
Barret Road at Freedom near the public schoolhouse. Thence in a north-
erly direction in a straight line to the intersection of the Bartholow Road
and the Poole Road. Thence along tie said Poole Road to the intersec-
tion of said Poole Road and the Griffe Road at a point near Poole's School-
house. Thence along said Grille Road to Morgan's Run to the intersection
of the southern boundary of the Fourth Election District, commonly called
Woolery's District. Thence along said Woolery's District line to the inter-
section of said Woolery's District line and the Franklin District line.
Thence along the Franklin District line to the intersection of the Franklin
District line and the Mount Airy District line. Thence along the Mount
Airy District line to the intersection of the Mount Airy District line and
the Howard County line. Thence along the said Howard County line to
the point of beginning.

53. The Governor of the State of Maryland and the County Commis-
sioners of said county are authorized and empowered, respectively, to make
appointments of justices of the pence and constables for said new election
district as are now authorized by law for the other election districts of
Carroll County.

ELECTIONS.

1916, ch 365, sec. 1.

54. The salaries and all other expenses of the Supervisors of Elec-
tions for Carroll County shall be in the discretion of the County Com-
missioners of said county.

1916, ch. 365, sec. 2.

55. The Supervisors of Elections of Carroll County shall give ten
days' notice of the time and place of registration and of the revision there-
of, and of the elections in each precinct of said county only by advertise-
ment in two newspapers (one of which newspaper, if possible, shall be of
the opposite political faith from that of the majority of said Supervisors)
of general circulation in said county, and they shall not be required to give
notice by posting hand bills of said elections or registrations or the persons
registered or erased in each precinct of said county.
