lars for each deer so killed in excess of the limits herein mentioned, and
shall stand committed to the county jail, if said fine is not paid, for one
day for each dollar of fine imposed, but not for a period of more than
sixty days; any deputy game warden or constable or informer who shall
procure a conviction under this and the preceding section shall be en-
titled to the half fine recovered, and remaining half shall be paid over
to the state treasurer to the account of the state game protection fund,
to be used by the state game warden as may be provided by law.
Baltimore Oriole Icterus.

53. No person in this State shall shoot or in any manner catch, kill
or have in possession any bird of the species known as the " Baltimore
Oriole Icterus," or molest or destroy the eggs or nests of the said birds in
the said State.

54. Any person violating the preceding section shall, on conviction,
pay a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than twenty dollars for
each and every bird of the species known as the " Baltimore Oriole
Icterus " shot or in any manner caught, killed or in his possession, or for
any eggs or nests of the said birds molested or destroyed contrary to the
preceding section; said fines to be recovered before a justice of the peace
of the county or Baltimore city where the offense is committed, or by
indictment in the court having criminal jurisdiction in the county or
Baltimore city where the offense is committed; and in default of pay-
ment of fine or fines imposed hereunder, together with the costs, the
offender shall be committed to jail for not less than ten nor more than
sixty days for each offense, and the non-payment of each and every fine
shall be considered a separate offense within the meaning hereof: one-
half of all fines imposed shall go to the informer.

55. The State Game Warden is authorized to grant permits to bona
fide Field Trials Clubs and Associations to hold Field Trials with bird
or rabbit dogs in this State at any time during the closed season, under
such rules and regulations as may be adopted by said State Game Warden
safeguarding the interest of wild life in this State.

56. It shall be unlawful to hold Field Trials with dogs in this State
during any closed hunting season, unless permission to do so is granted
by the State Game Warden, and any Club or Association holding a Field
Trial during any closed hunting season, shall not be allowed to shoot, or
shoot at any game of any species, which are protected by law. When said
Field Trials are held during the open hunting season, every person hand-
