3064 ARTICLE 99.

An. Code, sec. 39. 1904, sec. 32. 1898, ch. 206, secs. 2, 3.

50. All acts or parts of acts and all sections and parts of sections of
the code, both, of general and local laws, now in force, inconsistent with
the provisions of sections 23-29 and 41-49 of this sub-title are repealed;
provided, nothing in said sections shall in any manner affect the public
local laws for Kent, Talbot, St. Mary's, Calvert, Harford, Allegany,
Somerset, Worcester, Caroline, Prince George's, Cecil, Frederick, Charles
Dorchester, Montgomery, Queen Anne's, Carroll, Washington and Wico-
mico counties relating to game and wild-fowl, nor the local law as it now
exists in Montgomery county as to hunting and killing rabbits, but that
the local laws shall remain in full force in said counties, respectively.

51. That it shall be unlawful for any person to kill more than Twelve
(12) Partridges (quail) in any one day, or more than Two (2) Ruffed
Grouse in any one day, or more than Three (3) English Pheasant in any
one day, or more than Fifty (50) Rail in any one day, or more than Fifty
(50) Reed birds in any one day, or more than Twenty-five (25) Doves in
any one day, or more than Six (6) Woodcock in any one day, or more than
ten (10) rabbits in any one day, or more than twenty-five (25) squirrels
in any one day, or more than Twenty-five (25) Jacksnipe in any one day,
or more than Twenty-five (25) Wild Water-fowl (ducks, geese, swan and
brant) in any one day for each man on or connected with the outfit not
exceeding four men in number, each of whom shall have a gunner's license,
or more than Fifteen (15) Yellow-legs in any one day, or more than Five
(5) Black Breasted Plover in any one day, or more than Twenty-five (25)
Coots (crow-bills) and Gallinules in all in any one day, or more than
Four (4) Wild Turkeys in any one season, or more than one Deer per
season. It shall be unlawful to kill the female deer at any time during
the time when it shall be lawful to shoot or kill such birds and animals as
herein defined.

Any person found guilty of violating any part of this section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before any
Justice of the Peace of this State, shall be fined Ten Dollars ($10) for each
and every Game Bird or Game Animal killed in excess of the bag limit as
herein provided, and each Game Bird or Game Animal so found in posses-
sion in excess of the bag limit shall constitute a separate offense, and shall
stand committed to the County jail or the Baltimore City jail until such
fine and costs shall have been paid, but such imprisonment shall not exceed
sixty days for each offense.1

52. Any person violating the provisions of the preceding section shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in
the sum of five dollars for each and every partridge, pheasant, or ruffed
grouse, English pheasant, dove, woodcock, Jacksnipe, rabbit or squirrel,
and the sum of fifty dollars for each wild turkey, and one hundred dol-
