ware boundary line a little to the west of the tracks of the
Delaware, Maryland and Virginia Railway Company at a
point ten miles, more or less, north of the town of Berlin,
in Worcester county, and at or near the point where the
existing county road leading north from Berlin crosses the
Delaware line; and,
WHEREAS, The county road from Berlin south to Snow Hill
has been improved and macadamized, and it is the determina-
tion and purpose of the said State Roads Commission to
macadamize and improve the public road from Snow Hill
to Pocomoke City, and said improvement has been practically
made, thus insuring a continuous route of about thirty miles
of improved highway from a point one mile north of. Berlin,
through Snow Hill to Pocomoke City, a town six miles north
of Maryland-Virginia boundary line, and connecting with
Accomac county, Virginia* by a fairly good existing public
road; and,
WHEREAS, It is most desirable that the Good Roads System of
Maryland be so extended as to connect with the Du Pont
Boulevard at its southern terminus so as to afford easy and
continuous communication by an unbroken system of.
improved public highways from points in the State of New
York, the New England States, Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Delaware and Maryland, by constructing the said nine miles
of road mentioned, a continuous highway or boulevard will
be assured from Pocomoke City, a point near the Maryland-
Virginia line, to all the northern cities and many other
places, and forming an important link in the shortest route
from the North to the South.
WHEREAS, It is not within the recorded plan of road improve-
ment formed by the said State Roads Commission, to macad-
amize or otherwise improve the said nine miles of road, now
improved between Berlin and the southern terminus of the
Du Pont Boulevard and forming the connecting link there-
with; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission created by Chapter 141
of the Acts of 1908 is hereby authorized and. directed to con-
