Patrick J. McCormick and Philip J. Stover, contractors,
trading as McCormick and Company, which firm contracted
with the State Roads Commission of the State of Maryland
for the construction of such highway, and was afterwards
adjudicated bankrupt in the District Court of the United
States for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

CHAPTER 187.
AN ACT to provide additional accommodations for the insane
and feeble-minded within the State of Maryland, and to that
end to authorize the creation and issue of a loan by the State
of Maryland in the sum of $800,000, to be apportioned and
used as follows: $175,000 for the erection and construction
of additional buildings at the Springfield State Hospital at
Sykesville; $100,000 for the erection and construction of addi-
tional buildings at the Maryland Hospital for the Insane at
Catonsville, to be hereafter styled "Spring Grove State Hos-
pital;" $175,000 for the erection and construction of addi-
tional buildings at the Hospital for the Negro Insane of
Maryland at Crownsville, to be hereafter styled "Crownsville
State Hospital;" $150,000 for the erection and construction
of additional buildings and the purchase of additional land
at the Maryland Asylum and Training School for the Feeble-
Minded at Owings Mills, to be hereafter styled "Rosewood
State Training School;" $200,000 for the erection and con-
struction of buildings and the purchase of land for a hospital
on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, to be styled "Eastern
Shore State Hospital;" and to provide for the creation of a
sinking fund for the redemption of the said loan at maturity;
and to provide for the appointment of the board of managers
for the said Eastern Shore State Hospital, and to prescribe
the powers and duties of said board, and to authorize the
purchase of such land, and the erection of such buildings as
may be requisite in order to fully effectuate the objects and
purposes above mentioned.
