and with the right, power and privilege for any of these pur-
poses to enter upon, take and appropriate lands and mate-
rials with the same restrictions and limitations granted to
and imposed upon railroad companies by the Genenal Cor-
poration Laws of this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That The Cumberland Valley Railroad Company, for-
merly called The Franklin Railroad Company, shall have the
right to revise and relocate its lines of railroad in the State of
Maryland, and to extend the same so as to cross the Potomac
River and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at any point between
Hancock in Washington county, said State, and Knoxville in
Frederick county, said State, and to connect at any place
between said points with the said canal; and for the purposes
of the revision, relocation and extension of said lines of railroad
as aforesaid, and the said Cumberland Valley Railroad Com-
pany is hereby granted all the rights and powers of condemna-
tion to the same extent and subject to the same conditions and
restrictions as are granted to railroad corporations incorporated
under the General Corporation Law of this State; provided
that this act is not intended, and shall not be taken to relieve
the corporation from any of the provisions of the Public Service
Commission Law as the same is enacted by Chapter 180 of the
Laws of Maryland of 1910, or any supplements or amendments
thereto.

SEC. 2. That all acts or parts of acts inconsistent or in con-
flict with the provisions of this act so far as the same may be
inconsistent or in conflict therewith, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.

AN ACT Authorizing and directing the Mayor and Town Coun-
cil of the Town of Kensington to borrow money, not exceed-
ing the sum of three hundred dollars, on the credit of the
said town, for the purpose of defraying the cost of employ-
ing an expert to investigate the probable cost of the installa-
tion of a water and sewerage system in said town and for
