poses aforesaid; but not exceeding, however, the said sum of
two thousand dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from and after the first day of October, nineteen hundred and
twelve.

CHAPTER 141.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the repair of the
public building at Annapolis and for the repair and relaying
of the sidewalks in and about the State House grounds and
the Executive Mansion.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of $18,126.62 be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise
appropriated, to be expended by the Governor for urgent and
needed repairs to the public buildings of the State in the City
of Annapolis, and for the relaying and repair of the sidewalks
in and about the State House grounds and Executive Mansion.
And the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby authorized and
directed to draw his warrant on the State Treasurer for said
above amount, payable to the Governor, who is hereby author-
ized to disburse the same.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 142.
AN ACT to grant the sanction and consent of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland to a certain deed of real estate described in
said deed from H. Carroll Brown and wife to Second Church
of Christ, Scientist, of Baltimore City, and to the holding
of same under said deed.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland is hereby given and granted to a deed of certain real
estate in Baltimore City, Maryland, from H. Carroll Brown
