SEC. 18. Any person violating any of the provisions of
section 14 or of section 15 of this article or interfering with,
molesting or obstructing the said inspector or either of her
assistants in the discharge of her duties, shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished, for
the first offense, by a fine of not more than $100, for a second
or any subsequent offense, by a fine of not more than $1,000, or
by imprisonment for not more than one year, or by both penal-
ties in the discretion of the Court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the first day of May, in the year 1912.

CHAPTER 80.
AN ACT to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
of Chapter 499 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1906, entitled "An Act to incorporate the town of
Pittsville, of Wicomico county, Maryland."

CHAPTER 81.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to defray the cost of
carpeting the Senate and House of Delegates of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of nineteen hundred and ninety-two dollars
and fifty-three cents ($1,992.53) be and the same is hereby
appropriated from any money in the Treasury not otherwise
appropriated for the payment of the cost of furnishing and
laying new carpets in the Senate and House of Delegates of
Maryland, and the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the State Treas-
urer in favor of Minch & Eisenbrey, for the said sum hereby
appropriated, which firm furnished and laid said carpets.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
