judge of election to be paid such compensation as the said Com-
missioners of Hurlock shall prescribe. It shall be lawful for
the Commissioners of Hurlock to appoint the same person
named as judge of the municipal election to serve as judge at
the special election herein provided for, and to designate the
same place for holding the same. At the polling place desig-
nated there shall be provided by the Commissioners of Hurlock
ballots having written or printed thereon "For Sewerage and
Street Improvements," and "Against Sewerage and Street Im-
provements," and every qualified voter of the Town of Hurlock
shall have the privilege of voting on said subject. The Com-
missioners of Hurlock shall examine the certificate of the returns
of said election made to them by the judges thereof, and make
proclamation thereof by publication in a newspaper published
in Hurlock, if there be such a newspaper; provided, further,
that the said commissioners shall give at least three weeks'
notice of the time and place and object of such election by
advertisement published in some newspaper printed in Dor-
chester county.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, Provided a majority of the
qualified voters participating in said special election aforesaid
shall Vote for sewerage and street improvements then this act
shall take effect on the first day of July, A. D. 1912.

CHAPTER 773.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Lonaconing Savings Bank
of Allegany County by repealing section 2 of Chapter 297
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, by which said
charter was amended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 2 of Chapter 297 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1898 by which the charter of the
Lonaconing Savings Bank of Allegany County was amended,
be and the same is hereby repealed; provided, that nothing in
this act. shall be construed as relieving the said corporation from
the provisions of Article 11, Chapter 219 of the Acts of 1910.
