1240 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 744]

shall be done under the supervision of the Mayor and City Coun-
cil thereof, and when within the limits of any county shall be
done under the supervision consent of the county commis-
sioners thereof; also, over, under and along private roads and
private property, a right of way thereover, under or along being
had or obtained, so as to furnish electrical current or power to
any and all points, and to connect with any buildings, public or
private, with any lamp or other structure or object, car or con-
veyance, and in general to manufacture, sell, furnish, supply
and market electricity and electric and magnetic machinery and
supplies for any and all purposes that may be desired or
required, and to use the necessary means to accomplish all the
purposes for which said company is hereby incorporated.

That nothing herein contained shall be constructed to grant
any right, franchises or easement in or upon any of the public
highways or streets of Baltimore City without first having
obtained the consent of the mayor and city council of Baltimore
City and none of the rights and franchises hereby conferred to
this corporation shall be construed to give to the said corpora-
tion any rights whatever to use the said conduits without the
consent of the Mayor and city council of Baltimore City.

SEC. 2A. And be it further enacted, Subject to that nothing in
this act contained is intended or shall be taken or construed as
relieving the said corporation from the provisions of Chapter
180 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910
known as the Public Service Commission Law, or any amend-
ment thereto. Provided, however, that nothing in this act con-
tained is intended or shall be taken or construed as relieving
the said corporation from the provisions of Chapter 180 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1910, known as the
Public Service Commission Law, or any amendment thereto.
And provided further that said corporation before commencing
work or construction upon any portion of any State road or
roads included in the State road system, constructed or adopted
as a part of the State road system, shall apply to the State
Roads Commission for a permit to construct its line and over-
head equipment upon or over any such road, and all work done
under such permit upon any such road crossing of said road,
shall be done in conformity with the rules and regulations of
the State Roads Commission and located as designated by said
Commission, and in full compliance with the provisions and
terms of any permit granted by said State Roads Commission
and to the satisfaction of said commission; and before doing
any such work the said corporation shall file with the State
Road Commission, if required, a bond in such amount and pen-
