CHAPTER 739.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County,"
sub-title "County Commissioners," to follow section 61 and
to be known as section 61 1/2.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, to follow section 61, and to be known as section 61 1/2, and
to read as follows:

SEC. 61 1/2. The County Commissioners of Montgomery
County shall each receive the sum of five dollars per diem for
each day's attendance upon business of said office in lieu of all
other compensation, per diem or mileage.

Provided, however, that said sum or sums of money so paid
any of said Commissioners shall not exceed the sum of eight
hundred dollars in any year.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 740.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 547 of the Acts of Assembly of
1910, entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the painting and framing of the portrait of Francis Scott
Key to be placed in the State House at Annapolis in the State
of Maryland," by adding an additional section to said Chap-
ter 547 of the Acts of Assembly of 1910 to follow section 2
and to be designated as section 2A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 547 of the 'Acts of Assembly of 1910 be
and the same is hereby amended by the addition of a new sec-
tion to be designated as section 2A, which said section shall fol-
low immediately after section 2 of the aforesaid Chapter 547
and which said new section shall read as follows:
