are now collected, and shall be recovered in the name of said
county commissioners before any justice of the peace for said
county; and on refusal or failure to pay and inability to collect
the same by legal process the person or persons so fined shall be
committed to the county jail of the county for a period not
exceeding ten days, in the same manner 'as commitments are
made for fines imposed by the Circuit Courts of this State on
conviction for misdemeanor j and all fines when collected shall
be applied to the maintenance of said bridge.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 717.

AN ACT to repeal section 280 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County,"
sub-title "Wild Fowl," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 280 of Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County," sub-title
"Wild Fowl," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:

SEC. 280. It shall be lawful to shoot teal ducks, mallards,
black ducks, bald pates and all other ducks known as marsh
ducks, black birds, rail birds, reed birds, in any manner other
than by swivel gun, or big gun, from one hour before sunrise
until one hour after sunset every day from the first day of
September to the first day of October of each year, on the
waters of the Chesapeake Bay, lying and being within the
bounds prescribed by section 278.

SEC. 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this ant
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 718.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General

Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises

contained in the last wills and testaments of certain persons.
