SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 705.
AN ACT to 'authorize and direct the Boards of County School
Commissioners of Talbot county, Queen Anne's county and
Caroline county to jointly construct, equip and maintain a
high school in the Town of Queen Anne, located in both Tal-
bot and Queen Anne's counties, and to appropriate the sum
of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00), to be paid by the State
of Maryland toward the construction and equipment of the
same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Boards of County School Commissioners of Tal-
bot, Queen Anne's and Caroline counties are hereby authorized
and directed to construct, equip and, maintain a high school at
the Town of Quecn Anne, located in Talbot and Queen Anne's
counties, at a cost for the building site, building and equipment
not to exceed seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00), said high
school building to be erected and equipped under the super-
vision of the Boards of County School Commissioners of said,
three counties, and the said three school boards are each directed
to select one person of good judgment, discretion and integrity,
who, together with the presidents of each of the said boards,
shall comprise a building committee of six persons, who shall
have the immediate supervision and direction of the plans for
the erection and equipment of said high school building.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of four
thousand dollars ($4,000.00) be and the same is hereby appro-
priated out of the moneys of the State of Maryland not other-
wise appropriated, to defray the expenses of construction and
equipment of said high school building, and the Comptroller of
the Treasury be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
issue his warrant upon the Treasury for said amount, payable
to the three Boards of County School Commissioners for Talbot
county, Queen Anne's and Caroline counties, and the said
Boards of School Commissioners are hereby authorized to
expend the said sum of money so appropriated toward the con-
struction and equipment of said high school building and the
acquiring of a site for the same.
