income thereof, and, according to the discretion of the trustees
of the said corporation for the time being, to make any use or
disposition of the same, appropriate to and furtherance of its
lawful corporate purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That section 2 of the said
Chapter 50 of the said Acts of Assembly of the said year 1829,
be and the same is hereby so amended that the trustees of the
said corporation hereafter elected shall be members of the
Society of St. Sulpice of the Roman Catholic Church, and shall
have the further qualifications prescribed by section 7 of the
above-mentioned original act of incorporation, but need have no
other or further qualifications.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That in all other respects
except as the same as is herein or hereby amended, the said
Chapter 50 of the said Acts of Assembly, of the said year 1829,
shall be and remain in full force and effect, and the said body
politic and corporate, under the name and style of "The Trus-
tees of St. Charles' College," shall possess and enjoy all the pow-
ers and privileges and immunities granted to it as well by the
said original act of incorporation, as by these presents, with
full power to hold, enjoy and dispose of its present property
and estate, and any property and estate which it may acquire
in accordance with the terms of these presents, as is herein pro-
vided with respect to the same.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 704.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county to grant a pension of fifty dollars
($50.00) annually to Joseph A. Satterfield and to levy said
amount on the assessable property of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county
be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
grant a pension of fifty dollars ($50.00) annually to Joseph A.
Satterfield, of said county; said pension of fifty dollars ($50.00)
to be paid in quarterly instalments of twelve dollars and fifty
cents ($12.50) each during his natural life; and to levy said
sum of $50.00, current money, upon the assessable property of
said county, and said pension shall be paid to Joseph A. Satter-
field.
